High-voltage frequency converter
SCAD tech produces
Special features of Frequency Converter SCAD Drive 2000 series:
Portability
- Through the use of modern components, as well as multilevel topology, dimensions of converter are significantly reduced in comparison to analogues from other manufacturers.
- Frequency converters for most common sizes have
one-side maintenance. - Converters are manufactured in cabinet version with the degree of protection IP31, IP41, IP42. A multilevel technology.
- Frequency converter’s topology allows to use it to administrate already installed standard motors without requiring additional matching equipment, which guarantees a quick return on investment.
- Multilevel technology allows to obtain an almost sinusoidal current curve and provide a total value of nonlinear distortion factor of input current <2%.
- Voltage quality at frequency converter output allows to control motors that do not have special design and reinforced insulation.
- Maximum allowed cable length between converter and motor is 2000 m.
- There are no special requirements for a cable between converter and motor.
- Due to low du/dt and a small formation of the voltage curve change, lifecycle of motors increases.
- Due to use of the latest generation of IGBT transistors, the frequency converter meets the strictest requirements for maintaining specified motor speed.
Structural design
- Due to usual lack of additional free space inside existing buildings at customer’s premises, frequency converter of SCAD tech is practically delivered in a portacabin design, which allows to install it on any surfaces and in any climate conditions.
Other advantages
- The converter efficiency is 96.5%.
- A wide range of various
built-in functions and visually comprehensible software facilitate setup process and further operation. - Low number of spare parts, due to their equivalence.
- Frequency converter output voltage curve eliminates negative effects on motor windings due to the small change in voltage between converter cells
